Source Tagging Overview:
Automotive retailers experience the same challenges with shoplifting and loss as many of its counterparts in other segments of retail. Open merchandising and the ability to cross merchandise their inventories also contribute to increased sales, profits and most importantly, customer satisfaction. Today there are approximately 2,000 automotive products source tagged from 60 different vendors. In addition to items that are specifically source tagged for the automotive market, many product categories that are carried by other retailers can also be found source tagged for their locations, including batteries and flashlights.
