Market Specific Activity - Electronics / Games

Source Tagging Overview:

Source tagging has also created an effective path for retailers to market and sell Consumer Electronics and Multimedia Products. Virtually every high shrink category has had products certified for Source Tagging creating an open sell environment and increased profits.

During the mid-1990s, the National Association of Recording Merchandisers (NARM) became one of the first organizations to endorse source tagging for the CD Music industry. Today, in addition to CDs, DVD Video is available source tagged for new releases and catalog. The vast majority of retail CD and DVD sales in North America are driven by retailers that utilize source tagging technology and the results have been exceptional - average shrink rate have been reduced by 38% in these categories.
